Steven Bruce Sophomore EP from Scotland's WCFW. Catchy but intelligent emo-rock in the vein of "Puzzle"-era Biffy Clyro with the soaring choruses of Deftones.

Loving it, and can't wait for the debut album. Favorite track: Paradise Place..

I can make wood sing with my hands, tie it up with strings and tell truths about who I am, I doubt you could do what I can, turn accounts of former brothers and lovers into cathartic scripture. Strange what you'll find if you just open your mind to things you’ve never felt like seeing before, A, Pandora’s box, completely covered in locks, which is concealed beneath swept carpeted floors. Anticipation is the tip of the ice, the short sharp breath before a plunge in the pool, shooting me daggers with their shadowy eyes, resist temptation to retort and be cool or you might as well just, lose yourself, ‘cause it’s the only thing that one can do if blind go one and lose yourself and become just another pawn on the board. Take these pictures, ‘cause you need them more, so you remember, who you are. Dressed up in leather they're like birds of a feather with the vixens who take hold of the night, under the covers they perform like no other guaranteed to satisfy till suffice. Seem's you've mistaken that it's there for the taking as you set your mind to plans of attack, with no, thoughts to defend and failure to comprehend, the counter currently exposing your back, four. You might as well just, lose yourself, ‘cause it’s the only thing that one can do if blind go on and lose yourself and become just another pawn on the board. Take these pictures, 'cause you need them more, so you remember, who you are. Do you remember who you are?

I’m just the bastard son I am a brother to no one, my sisters are all strangers and my mother’s love can only go so far. There’s a shop on the corner , it’s selling dreams of a summer, well, I think I’m gonna save my money pack my bags and fly to somewhere warm. Because, the only weather is grey here, it rained for 364 last year and I’m beginning to forget the feeling of the sun upon my skin. It’s five o’clock on a Friday and I’m ready for the weekend, but my excitement disappears with the realisation that I’m spending it inside, I need to make the most of what I have, but I cant help the way I feel and today I’m feeling in adequate. I’m just the bastard son I am a brother to no one, my sisters are all strangers and my mother’s love can only go so far. I’m getting so sick of fighting, and subsequently then writing about it ‘cause the more I analyse it then the more I realise I’m to blame, the more I try to discover, why I have nothing to offer I realise that I tried my best to teach myself the rules but must have got them wrong. As a child I was nervous never one participating, but as I got older did my best to try and stand my ground, and by my teens I was doing just great, but I forgot to stop the process and I became far too defensive. I’m just the bastard son I am a brother to no one, my sisters are all strangers and my mother’s love can only go so far, I lost the only friends that I ever had, I find hard communicating with my own dad so I apologise if my loneliness is starting to show. I had to teach myself that I wouldn’t be pushed around, but I became the one pushing others cause I was proud, too stubborn to swallow my pride and see that I was wrong, so now I am the one they know of only through my songs. I’m just the bastard son I am a brother to no one, my sisters are all strangers and my mother’s love can only go so far, I lost the only friends that I ever had, I find hard communicating with my own dad so I apologise if my loneliness is starting to show.

If a tree falls in the forest, with no one for miles around, who the hell in their right mind would say that tree wont make a sound, It’s like saying if your lonely, that it isn’t even real, who the fuck is anyone to try and tell you how you feel. So if you’re scared of the sharks then you can’t be a swimmer, and maybe you act stallion ‘cause you feel more like a foal, well brother if you’ve got the wits take a trip to our river, where you can dance with the foxes, or fly with the crows. We are incredibly lost, we are a sign of the times, we are a loss of control, we are what’s wrong with the world, or so I’ve been told. We are the reason you’re wrong, and we been have been so right all along just like that words in this song, we are the things that you’re not. There’s a distant fire burning , with familiar scents of home, so I reminisce of days I miss that grow right through these bones, a regret now I am older, is I never wrote them down, though I try my best they were laid to rest and buried with this town. The camera lens extends the length of memories, so we can keep the ones we hold with such prestige, they are the windows to the past that we have seen, they paint the pictures of daydreams Far we move away, but in turn we’re closer every day, to what we want, time is all it takes, but it’s one thing I don’t have to waste, take it from me. Time travel does exist but not in mythic scenes, like sci-fi movies or TV shows on our screens, it’s in our senses how we see and touch and hear, it’s how we keep memories crystal clear. Far we move away, but in turn we’re closer every day, to what we want, time is all it takes, but it’s one thing I don’t have to waste, take it from me. Take it from me. Just take it all. Far we move away, but in turn we’re closer every day, to what we want, time is all it takes, but it’s one thing I don’t have to waste. Take it from me.
