Am I Useful?

lyrics

I’ve been going to the river every day, to check on my reflection and see everything’s ok. And when the sky just seems to fall into the sea, I know you’ll hold your hand out in the hope you’ll rescue me.

But I’d rather not bother to pretend, that I’m happy to give up dreaming and play dead.

So am I useful? Now that my heads gone and the feelings lost, am I useful now that I’ve stopped singing? Am I useful now that my hearts numb and the beatings dropped, but give me one more sad song they want me to sing and I will show you I’m living.

Are the answers back in accents when you pray? Wish I could hear the reassuring dialect of faith. I’m pretty sure I have no clue what I believe, does that make me a cynic, a believer or naive?

But I’d rather not bother to pretend, that I know how it’s gonna turn out in the end.

So am I useful? Now that my heads gone and the feelings lost, am I useful now that I’ve stopped singing? Am I useful now that my hearts numb and the beatings dropped, but give me one more sad song they want me to sing and I will show you I’m living.

I will show you I’m seeing, I’m breathing, I’m feeling much better, I’m seeing, I’m breathing, I’m feeling.
